Today's writing update:
I finishes the first round of edits on MERCILESS last week, and guys. I am internally screaming over this book. It has my heart. OMG.

I'm going to share one or two snippets before release, so if you want to see them first, make sure you subscribe to my newsletter!

So many of you LOVED Lo’s journal entries in Vesselless that I just HAD to give her a POV in Merciless. And OMG. Lo is FUNNY and such a bad a**! I giggled many times while writing her chapters!

Fun facts about writing MERCILESS:

I’ve heard many authors say that the second book they wrote was the hardest book they ever wrote, and I really felt that with MERCILESS.

I ended up with SIX versions of Merciless on my computer and almost 300k of discarded words. (That’s three whole books worth.)

I considered the name SOULLESS but it just didn’t strike the right chord, and I felt MERCILESS was perfect for the dark romance in this book.

There were at least 3 whole plots I wrote, hated, and trashed before finding this version of MERCILESS.

The open-door scene(s) 👀 was the last thing I wrote.

It’s a (not-so-secret) fact about me that I have a WEAKNESS for black, hardback books with sprayed edges. 😅

I have this wild dream of creating custom dust jackets for all my books (black ones, obviously) so that my entire library is 🖤🖤🖤🖤🤤 Will this ever happen? Probably not, but a girl can dream.

Also… yes that is the anniversary edition of Twilight, and yes, it smells like La Push. 🌊 It was a happy coincidence that it was black.
